Choose a class to suit your playstyle and prove your courage in new hunting zones. Each location added in this update will be a serious test of your skill, and the reward a testament to your determination.
Ruined Sanctuary
These ancient ruins have become the arena for epic battles. The location is divided into five zones, and in the final one Overlord Vallian awaits, with minions at his side eager to hunt each and every member of your party. Only the most united warriors will be able to reach the main boss and obtain rare Enchant Kits. The zone has already entered the global server rankings.
Snowy Hot Springs
The steam above the snow conceals hordes of new enemies: Baths Rampikes, Centaur Archers, and Dwarves, ready to unleash their full fury on the intruders. And the appearance of a Baths Dwarf Ranger will transform the battle into a true test of skill.
Depths of the Lands of Shadow
This zone has been discovered directly beneath the Lands of Shadow. Here the darkness deepens, and the monsters become more merciless. Strengthened enemies make this area a challenge for even the most resilient, but the increased XP you get for victory is a fitting reward. Meanwhile, in the Fire Dragon’s Swamp target monsters now spawn at each altar.
Abandoned Coal Mines
Here you will have to fight golems at the entrance and the Black Hammer in the depths. If you have a Phantom Mask enchanted to +7 or higher, try to defeat the Ghost Knight, and getting the Sealed Mineral buff can lead you to chests with valuable materials. But be careful: In these mines, it’s not just strength that matters, but tactics as well.
Choose your class
In Lineage 2 Essence each class belongs to a certain archetype. This update changes some skills for rogues, wizards, and archers, and introduces new abilities for warriors. Master them to etch your name into history.
Skillful healers are a heart of any clan. They save wounded from certain death and recover their health providing an invaluable support in battle.
Warrior classes specialize in aggressive attacks and dealing high damage to enemies. If you feel that your place is in the midst of battle, choose one of these.

These support classes are masters of elements. Their spells not only make allies stronger but also greatly weaken enemies, making their gameplay both dynamic and spectacular.
For dexterous archers, a distance is not a drawback but an advantage, as their bows deal tons of damage from afar. Prefer striking bosses from a distance? Then choose one of the archer classes!
These fearless warriors always fight on the frontlines soaking up enemies’ blows and drawing their attention away from more vulnerable fighters. These classes are called tanks for their heavy armor and shields that help them protect allies.
Characters of these classes are able to summon mighty servitors to their aid. Also, their magic skills are really powerful making them a force to be reckoned with.
These cunning warriors prefer surprise attacks from the rear. They wield daggers and wear light armor. A high critical strike chance and great speed allow them to exploit the weaknesses of even the most defended enemies.
Attack-oriented characters that wield magic weapons and armor. They possess a balanced set of abilities, and their signature trait is magic attacks that cover a wide area.
What is Lineage 2 Essence?
A version of Lineage 2 for people who like to play independently. Autocombat and self-sufficient classes with all the buffs necessary to level up your characters by yourself. Once your level is high enough, you can participate in cross-server battles, sieges and raid events together with players from other worlds!
