The Wars of Emperium (WoE, Guild Wars)
You have started your journey, fought hard to become stronger, searched endlessly for worthy gear and made valuable alliances with adventurers you now consider as brothers and sisters. It is now to put all the hard work to test in the biggest of all battlefields: Wars of Emperium!
WoE Schedule
Wednesdays | 20:00 - 22:00 |
Sundays | 18:00 - 20:00 |
Guild Wars (WoE) is the weekly battle for castles between guilds. Conquered castles allow guilds to access special dungeons and treasure chests.
Origins Of Wars of Emperium
After thousand years of peace, monsters noticed how poorly castles defended and claimed them in all major cities, becoming a serious threat to the citizens of the Kingdom.
"The castles and the treasures on them are properties for those who deserve them. And whoever controls the castles with the legendary Emperium stone, will be considered the kingdom Knights of honor." King Tristan III
And that’s how the new era of war began in Rune-Midgard….
The castles in Rune-Midgard are spread across 4 locations, 5 castles in each, making 20 castles total. To conquer a castle, a guild must destroy the Emperium stone in the center of the fortress. When the castle is conquered, the guild has to protect it from competing guilds during the war period. Since WoE is a biweekly event, the guild owning the castle has access to its benefits until the next war.
Guild Dungeons
Guild Dungeons are the special instances available to the guilds owning castles depending on the region. These dungeons are considered as the best way to progress, since the local monsters are extremely strong and dangerous. Furthermore, these dungeons have PvP mode turned on, adding an additional threat from other guilds owning castles in the same city.
Treasure Chests
The guild leader has access to the special room in the conquered castle, where treasure chests spawn every day as long as the guild controls the castle. The more developed economics the castle has, the more chests appear (drop modificators affect these chests too).
Unlike PvP Arenas, Guild Wars are focused on team play, so make sure your guild is prepared for coordinated actions.
- Guild Leaders with a castle have the ability to summon Guardians via NPC in the castle. The Guardians will attack anyone who doesn’t belong to the castle guild’s alliance (“Guardian Research” skill must be obtained).
- Guild Leader can invest Zeny into the castle's economy, increasing the amount of treasure chests appearing every day. Every 5 economy points add 1 chest.
- Researched “Kafra Contract” skill allows to place Kafra in the castle, giving access to the storage from the castle.
Castle rules
It is possible to enter a WoE castle without a guild. Characters from the same alliance or guild can’t attack each other on the castle’s location. Guild members can’t be kicked out of the guild while they are on the territory of the castle. An alliance can’t be broken on the castle’s territory. Members of the guild owning the castle can use guild flags for quick transportation through the castle.

Einbroch and Einbech
Einbroch
Einbroch, also known as the City of Steel, is one of the biggest cities of the Republic of Schwartzvald, heavily populated and filled with smoke and metal clanging.
History
Schwartzvald Republic has been always known for its progressive and scientific citizens, who put a lot of efforts into creating the most industrialized and prosperous state in the world, and Juno, the astonishing flying city and the Republic’s capital is the best demonstration of their success on that path. There are many brilliant minds who established the glory and pride of the Republic, but arguably the most revered of them is Strahlenstein, the leading advocate for the development of the steam engine. With his research, the minerals that fuel the engines were discovered and thus started Schwartzvald's Industrial Age.
It was just a matter of time for steam machines to become extremely popular and get spread across the whole republic. Growing industry required more and more resources for its maintenance, attracting investors and merchants to Einbech, a small mining town located southwest of Juno. This funding allowed an almost abandoned town to develop into a large city.
Strahlenstein didn’t stop his research and eventually figured out a way to produce more powerful engines. The increased power output of the modernized versions allowed them to extract various metals and minerals that were previously unreachable. From this moment people began investing their resources in a vacant piece of land near Einbech, building factories to refine minerals located there and manufacture a slew of new technological products. As more people moved to this area, an extensive railroad network was laid to meet the demands of the population. Eventually, this small community rapidly grew and was named the city of Einbroch.
Location
You can reach Einbroch by an airship from Juno for 1200 Zeny or on foot. The city is quite big and has plenty of interesting places, such as the Factory, Laboratory and the Airport. The city’s square with the Weapon Shop and the Hotel is in the middle of Einbroch. The Train Station is located to the northeast, there you can buy a ticket on the train to Einbech for 200 Zeny.
Einbech
History
This is where everything started for the Republic of Schwartzvald. Formerly a small, almost abandoned mining town, it quickly became the center of the republic's extractive industry with the development of steam machines. Since all the ores and minerals dug up in the town's mine needed to be processed, a complex of factories and refineries were built nearby in an industrial complex. The complex later became Einbroch and quickly grew into a booming city.
However, as Einbroch grew wealthier, Einbech became more and more impoverished. The two towns began to resent each other and did what they could to take advantage of one another. In this exchange, Einbroch always won the upper hand no matter what.
Location
Einbech is not a small village, but it pales in comparison to its successor, Einbroch. In the town you can find a pub, train station and a small shop. The main point of the interest, the Mines, can be found to the north of the town.
Quests
There is a lot of stuff going on in Einbroch and Einbech to keep adventurers busy. Play the part of matchmaker for two star-crossed lovers from different cities, Find Uwe Kliene, a chef renowned all over Rune-Midgard, and discover the secret of his cooking, Intervene to reunite Kain Himere, a crewman on the Airship, and his long forgotten daughter or be a good samaritan, help a needy man in Einbroch and his sick wife, assist the factory supervisor Zelmeto in the maintenance and discover the truth behind the catastrophic mine collapse in Einbech.
Dungeon
Einbech Mines is the network of underground tunnels dug up by the local people to harvest minerals and coal, although it is abandoned now due to various monsters having filled its caves. Ungoliant, the legendary arachnid monster, believed to be the local god is among them.
In the deepest corners of the mines you can encounter RSX-0806, a steam-powered juggernaut that can destroy anything in its path.

Gunslinger and Ninja
First two expanded jobs are being added to the game: the Schwartzvald’s finest Gunslingers and mysterious Ninja from Amatsu!
Gunslinger
Gunslingers are flashy and confident New Age warriors that rely on a wide array of guns and powerful skills to deal as much damage as possible in a short amount of time to their enemies. Gunslingers are always looking for a chance to show off their talent.
Bored with only target practice in smoggy Einbroch, Gunslingers have decided to take up adventuring, like so many from the Rune-Midgarts Kingdom, in order to live a life of excitement and fame.
To become one you need to be a Novice and find Master Miller, the leader of the Gunslingers Guild in Einbroch (134 199).

Ninja
Shrouded in secrecy and mysticism , the Ninja is a formidable warrior from Amatsu that strikes swiftly before quietly escaping into the night. The elusive Ninja has an eclectic repertoire to dispatch enemies from the shadows: as a hybrid job, the Ninja specializes in dodge skills and attacks using Ninja Daggers, Shurikens, Kunai, and even magic.
The Ninja is a hybrid career where you can do all sorts of physical and magic attacks with various evasion skills, using not only general weapons but also throwing weapons and tactics. Ninjas can defeat enemies using daggers and shurikens, throwing weapons, and magic-like "jutsus."
To step on the path of Ninja you need to be a Novice and speak to Akagi located in Alberta (30 63).
