The Royal Guard was created during the rule of King Schmitz, three centuries ago. The wise ruler knew that the kingdom needed an elite unit to deal with the most “sensitive” threats both internally and externally. As these elite soldiers are required to match any opponent, they also undergo light magic training. The Royal Guard obbeys only God and the King.
Despite their privileged status, Royal Guards are often seen joining more common military operations, including fighting monsters and the undead. These soldiers help keep the peace, law and order not only in Rune-Midgard but also abroad.
