Professions of Midgard: Warlock

When the rift to the new world opened, a few wizards started feeling their powers intensify in a strange way. It was clear that this new magic was emanating from the rift and they went on to study this new magic and learn from the locals how to use it.

The Laphine, masters of New World magic had a completely different way of dealing with magical elements: instead of inflicting damage on the enemy, they chose to induce them into panic and other feelings. By combining powerful spells and the Laphine magical principles, wizards develop a unique advantage in combat, although the extensive use of these techniques can be harmful to the caster.

The few who managed to dominate this new form of magic are now called Warlocks.

Changing the Profession

To become a Warlock you must enter the portal located in Morroc (morocc 103 144) 

Skills

White Imprison

Locks a target in a transparent box that prevents damage except from Ghost property damage. Can cast on oneself lasting for 5 sec. When the duration is finished, the caster loses HP of Skill Level x400. Success Rate increases according to the caster's Job Level. Not effective on Boss monsters.

Soul Expansion

Skill Requirement: Drain Life level 1
Strikes a target and all surrounding foes at long distance with ghost element damage. If used against a player in White Imprison, the skill deals double damage.

Frost Misty

Skill Requirement: Water Ball level 1
Covers a 15x15 area in a freezing mist, causing damage and inflicting Freezing status to targets that enter. Targets caught with Freezing status have their defense, attack speed and movement speed lowered, and take longer to cast spells.

Drain Life

Skill Requirement: Radius level 1
Strikes a single target with magical damage, and absorb some of that damage as HP. Damage and HP recovered is influenced by the caster's INT and base level. The success rate varies according to the skill level.

Crimson Rock

Burns an enemy with fire from hell, inflicting Burning status at a certain chance.

Comet

Advanced destructive magic. Obliterates an area with meteor from space (19x19 AoE) inflicting all targets with Burning Status at a 100% chance. Consume 2 Red Gemstones. If cast with another Warlock next to you, consumes no Red Gemstones.

Chain Lightning

Tetra Vortex

Summons ether in the 4 elements, to deal magic damage of each element. Tetra Vortex requires you to have summoned one Fire Ball, Ball Lightening, and Stone before casting or the skill will fail. Randomly casts Ignition, Freezing, Stun or Bleeding

Release

Reading Spell Book

Use skills inscribed in Magic Books by reading them and sealing them up. Using the skill Release to let out sealed spells. Each Warlock has a number of maximum slots in which they can memorize spells, based on their Base Level, INT and the level of Freezing Spell. This determines how many skills they can keep memorized at any given time. At level 150, a Warlock will have 15 slots, with an additional slot for every 10 INT and an additional 4 for every level of Freezing Spell.

Freezing Spell

Increase the slots available. to Reading Spellbook. When spells are frozen, SP slowly drains depending on the number of spells. Each level increases the available slots by 4.

Intensification

Required Skill : Soul Expansion level 5
Ghost magic enters caster's circulatory system, increasing Ghost-type magic damage and reducing cast time and mana cost of spells. This skill cannot be removed by clearance or dispel.
