Professions of Midgard: Merchant — Alchemist — Biochemist

Biochemists are students of nature that can create healing potions, dangerous acids, explosives and even artificial life in the form of Homunculi — special pets that help them in combat. Leaving the confines of natural laws behind, Biochemists move on to even more daring experiments and graduate to Geneticists.

Getting the job

Once you reach job level 10 as a novice and have learned Basic Skills level 9 you can become a Merchant. To do that you need to go to the Merchants Guild in Alberta. To become an Alchemist, a merchant must reach the professional level of 40 and pass an exam at the Alchemist Guild in Al De Baran. To become a Biochemist you need to reach level 99/50 and find the Book of Ymir in the Castle of Sages in Juno.

Quest Skills

Consumes SP12 and slams a single target with the Pushcart to inflict melee physical damage to all enemies around the target and push them 2 cells backwards. Base damage is ATK 150%, and the weight of the pushcart increases damage. This skill can be used with a pushcart. 
Alters the appearance of the equipped Pushcart. Higher level characters will have a greater variety of Pushcart looks to choose from. This skill can be used with a pushcart. 
Scream with battle vigor to add +4 STR and +30 ATK to the caster and nearby party members for 5 minutes.

Target an area and set it on fire by throwing a Bottle Grenade. The flames will not push back enemies within their range, but they do have a chance of damaging the weapons of enemies. The higher [Potion Research] level is, the higher damage is dealt by a single hit. Each cast requires 1 Bottle Grenade. Consumes 10 SP regardless of level.

Makes 200 attempts to create 100 Alcohols, 50 Acid Bottles and 50 Bottle Grenades. Cast time - 3 sec. (does not depend on the skill of the character). To use the skill, the alchemist's inventory must have enough materials to make the attempted items.

Can only be used if there is a Taekwon kid in the group.

Bioethics Skills

Allows you to create a Homunculus.
Required: [Rest] 
Summons an existing Homunculus that was stored by using the Vaporize skill. This consumes one Embryo if you haven't created a Homunculus yet.

Sends the Homunculus to rest. To use the skill, the creature must have at least 80% HP. You can summon a Homunculus back using the skill [Call Homunculus]

Resurrects a dead Homunculus.

Crazy Uproar

  • The fixed cast time of the skill was increased by 0.5 sec.
  • The variable cast time of the skill was increased by 1 sec.
  • Now the skill gives Strength +4 and attack +30 to the character and nearby party members.
  • A skill cooldown of 30 sec. was added.

Alchemist Skills

Bomb

  • The weapon destruction chance was increased.
  • The type of damage changed from melee special to melee normal.
  • The formula for calculating damage changed
  • Now the skill deals additional damage according to the level of the skill Potion Research.

Acid Terror

  • The type of damage changed from melee special to melee normal.
  • The formula for calculating damage changed. Now the skill deals additional damage according to the level of the skill Potion Research.
