Professions of Midgard: Acolyte — Priest — High Priest

High Priests use their holy powers for good, healing the wounded, supporting their brethren in combat and even resurrecting the dead. Some High Priests specialize in fighting the forces of evil. The most devoted High Priests are recognized by the Church and ordained Arch Bishops.

Getting the job

Once you reach job level 10 as a novice and have learned Basic Skills level 9 you can become an Acolyte. To do that you need to go to the Church of Prontera. To become a Priest, an acolyte must reach the professional level of 40 and pass an exam at the Church of Prontera. To become a High Priest you need to reach level 99/50 and find the Book of Ymir in the Castle of Sages in Juno.

Quest Skills

Sacrifices the caster to revive all party members around the caster with 50% of their Max HP. Afterwards, the caster's HP and SP are dropped to 1 and  the casterloses 1% of the required base experience to the next level. The experience loss is reduced by 0.2% for each party member that has been revived. If there is not enough experience(under 1%) and SP is under 400, this skill will fail.

Acolyte Skills

Blessing

  • Now the skill also increases the Accuracy of the target (The amount increased depends on the level).

Increase AGI

  • Now the skill also increases the attack speed (The amount increased depends on the level)

Angelus

  • Now the skill also increases the max. HP of the target (The amount increased depends on the level)

Holy Light

  • Fixed and Variable cat times were reduced in 50%.

Priest Skills

Magnus Exorcismus

  • The fixed cast time of the skill was reduced from 3 sec. to 1 sec.
  • The variable cast time of the skill was reduced from 12 sec. to 4 sec.
  • The skill cooldown was reduced from 1.5 sec. to 1 sec.
  • A skill cooldown of 6 sec. was added.
  • Now the skill deals damage to all targets
  • The damage to demon / undead monsters / enemies with Shadow and Undead properties was increased (130% MATK).

Mace Mastery

  • Now the skill increases the chance of critical attacks when using a mace. The chance depends on the skill level. At skill level 10, the chance of crit. is +10.

Suffragium

  • The skill mechanics were changed. Now it decreases the variable cast time for skills cast by the character and nearby members of the party for the whole duration of the skill. (The amount skills cast do no matter)
  • A fixed cast time of 0.5 sec. was added
  • A variable cast time of 1 sec. was added.
  • The skill cooldown was reduced from 2 sec. to 1 sec.
  • A skill reload time of 30 sec. was added.

Impositio Manus

  • Now the skill increases the ATK and MATK of the caster and nearby member of his party
  • A fixed cast time of 0.5 sec. was added
  • A variable cast time of 1 sec. was added.
  • The skill cooldown was reduced from 3 sec. to 1 sec.
  • A skill reload time of 30 sec. was added.
