Nameless Island, Battlegrounds and WOE 2.0

The world of Ragnarok Online is vast and full of adventures. On our next update we bring you some of the limitless options that this magic world provides. Adventure yourself on the Nameless Island and fight through the eerie Cursed Abbey. Face new challenges with your guild and conquer new castles on WoE 2.0. Or grind through PvP fights on the Battlegrounds in order to farm enough to buy some of the amazing new items. Which of the opportunities ahead will you take?

Nameless Island

A small, forgotten and abandoned Island, it has no name and it is not on any map. There are marks of civilization that seem to be from not so long ago. There are traces that once the settlers had a simple but good life, fishing, farming and adoring the Goddess Freya. What could have happened?

Legend has it that the island was discovered by one man who wanted to break away from his dark past and start his life over again. The population of the Island soon grew, due to more and more people wanting to leave behind life they lived in the continent. Soon they had already built small houses, farms and an Abbey. Apparently Freya listened to their prayers and granted them peace.

How to get to the Nameless Island

Find the special agent in the airship. He will tell you what to do in order to get to the Island.

To complete the quest you must have completed the quest to enter Rachel.

Cursed Abbey

“Goddess Freya, heed our prayers! Protect us from evil! ... Hear our repentant cry and lead us on the path of atonement for our sins. We are ready to be your slaves and carry your covenants to the unenlightened. Let us atone for our sins by serving you. We dedicate you the blood of the infidels and the flesh of the heretics! "

Eventually criminals started raiding the Island and turning the life of the locals into a nightmare. The residents who had become religious fanatics, locked themselves inside the Abbey and cut any contact they had with the external world, in order to avoid any moral distortion and unholy influence. Living in reclusion inside the Abbey, they started finding new ways to direct their anger against the heretics.

What is hidden in the Abbey?

Although a paradisiac place during the day, it is by nightfall that the Island’s true nature is revealed as chilling groans can be heard coming from inside the Abbey where many monks and nuns mysteriously disappeared in the past. The horrors of this cursed place will make even the bravest adventurers think twice before spending the night in this sinister place.

New Features


The new War of Emperium hits the ground to bring a new level in team tactics PvP. Attack wins games but defense wins titles and the Wars of Emperium 2.0 is all about defense tactics for your team to be proven worthy of the title.

Guardian Stones

Your castle’s first defense. While they stand an impenetrable defense stands still protecting your castle making it impossible to go through. Once they fall, your defense lines will have to rely on secondary defense lines, the barricades.

Guardian stones summon loyal men willing to give their lives to protect your castle. The higher the defense level of your castle is, the more guardians they can summon.

12 Link Flags are positioned throughout the castles and can transport the defending guild directly to the emperium room, serving as the last defensive line before falling to your adversaries.

Battlegrounds

The Maroll Kingdom is engulfed in a bloody civil war. Two contenders claim to be the rightful ruler of the country: The royal born Prince Croix, and the skillful commander General Guillaume. Both armies have already suffered major losses in battle and are desperately looking for reinforcements. The situation is so critical that both parties have sent emissaries to Rune-Midgard to recruit fresh fighters willing to give their lives for their cause, promising great rewards in case their side wins the war.

Battlegrounds is coming to the server and brings a new Pvp mode that features 3 arenas: Tierra Gorge, Flavius and KVM. Support one of the Kingdom’s contenders, fight for them and receive valuable rewards for your bravery and contribution to the rightful heir of Maroll.

To take part in battle you have to join one of the rival armies. In order you have to talk to either General Guillaume or Prince Croix.

Tierra

Goal: To destroy the Enemy base and protect your own
Players must be above 80. All jobs allowed except Novice and Super Novice.
Restrictions are the same as in WoE
20 players total, 10 a side
Barricades can be destroyed or restored for 50 stones. The stones must be given to the NPC standing next to the destroyed barricades.
There is a neutral Flag in the center of the map. The team that captures it receives the help of two sword Warriors and one archer.
When dying in the Arena there is a 25 second delay. After that the player respawns with full health.
Battles last no longer than 30 minutes.
Members of the winning team receive 3 Bravery badges each. Members of the losing team receive 1 each.

 

Flavius

Goal: To destroy the enemy’s Crystal twice and protect your own.
Players must be above 80. All jobs allowed except Novice and Super Novice.
Restrictions are the same as in WoE.
20 players total, 10 a side.
In order to destroy the enemy’s crystal, you first have to kill the monsters that guard it. The crystal does not take any damage while they are alive.
The game is played in rounds, being 3 the maximum amount of rounds. The side that destroys the crystal first gets one point. The team that scores 2 points first wins the battle.
When dying in the Arena there is a 25 second delay. After that the player respawns with full health.
Battles last no longer than 30 minutes.
Members of the winning team receive 9 Valor Badges each. Members of the losing team receive 3 each.

KVM

Goal: The objective is to kill as many members of the opposing team as possible
There are 3 categories based on the level of the players. From lvl 1 to 59, from lvl 60 to 79 and above lvl 80.
Restrictions are the same as in WoE.
10 players total, 5 a side.
If a character dies, he is out of the battle.
The maximum Battle time is 5 minutes. The team with the most surviving warriors wins.
Members of the winning team receive 5 KVM Points each. Members of the losing team receive 1 each.
